4 home improvements made easy

Building, renovating, remodelling or repairing – whatever you call it and wherever you’re doing it, these four Aussie vloggers (video bloggers) share their DIY tips and home improvement how-to’s.   [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=16&v=ysHdy6-StMA[/embed]

1.  DIY for Knuckleheads

Former professional carpenter Shane Conlan started DIY for Knuckleheads, a YouTube handyman channel, as a way to create content for Australian audiences. If you want to know how to erect an outdoor shower, drill a hole in a bathroom tile without cracking it or unblock a toilet – he’s your man.   [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DlwtgzXVQw[/embed]

2.  How to remove a brick load bearing wall

Sydney-based James Mason has been in the building industry for more than 20 years and, after working for an award-winning company, he decided to start his own consultancy, Our Build. If you want to create an open plan living/dining room, or just want to let more light into a darker part of your home, James will show you how to remove a brick load bearing wall to create a new opening.   [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISmo5KouU0Q[/embed]

3.  How to make a wooden ring out of timber offcuts

Paul “The Wood Knight” Jenkins is a Melbourne-based woodworker who reviews tools and offers plenty of advice like fixing a misplaced mortise on his website. Watch Paul turn a scrap of rosita (Hyeronima alchorneoides) into a ring for his wife Natalie “The Wood Dame” Jenkins using a drill press and a lathe.   [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CA_ZcOPKH7Q[/embed]

4.  How to make a shoe rack

Sumo (real name Dirk) is a loveable larrikin who is new to the Youtube vlogging world. When he’s not driving trucks, he says he’s usually “trying to build something for the home”. Sumo recently took on the “4x2 Challenge”, which saw him make a shoe rack from a piece of 90x45x2400mm box store pine.   [alert style="alert-at-home-inverse" dismissible="false"]
